Only one L700 spring can be installed on a gate.
It is certain that the other spring’s model number starts with the letter „R”. But it is not certain that it is R700! It is possible that another number (size) is installed.
The letters „L” or „R” in the spring’s model number only refer to the direction of the spring’s coiling. They no not mean on which side of the gate the spring is installed. It is possible that Hörmann installed an „R” spring on the left side of the gate, or an „L” spring on the right side.
The model number is on an aluminum label on the spring, or on the model label of the gate.

You cannot find the spring’s model number?
Measure the spring based on the following method.
If you need both R and L springs, you should measure them separately, because it is not certain that they are identical.
And it is not certain that the difference is visible to the naked eye.
Release the springs, so there will not be tension in them.
Measure the following:
-Measure 20 coils in millimeters. There should be no gaps between the coils.
-Count how many coils the spring is made of
-Based on the pictures, determine if the spring has a left or right direction coiling.
